Final New Orleans Jail Escapee Derrick Groves Captured in Atlanta After SWAT Standoff

The arrest ends a five-month multiagency manhunt, with extradition to Louisiana pending.

Overview

  • A Crimestoppers tip led authorities to a southwest Atlanta home where an APD SWAT team deployed tear gas before a police dog found Groves hiding in a crawl space.
