Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail Expansion Set for Summer 2024 Launch

New Pictomancer Job, Female Hrothgar Race, and City Solution Nine Revealed, Alongside First Graphical Update and Xbox Series X|S Open Beta Test

Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail, the fifth major expansion for Square Enix’s MMORPG, is set to launch in the summer of 2024, featuring a new tropical island region, a full visual revamp, and much more.
The expansion introduces the Pictomancer job that allows players to cast spells and summon creatures with a magic paintbrush, and the Female Hrothgar race.
Dawntrail also presents a new city, Solution Nine, which is a city of towering facades constructed by an entirely different civilization than that of Tuliyollal.
The game's first graphical update for character and world visuals is set to release alongside Dawntrail, with improvements to screen-wide aesthetic appeal, higher resolution textures and shadows, and improved material qualities.
Prior to its official launch in spring 2024, the Open Beta Test of the Xbox Series X|S version of the game will begin in February.
