Final Fantasy 14 Announces Crossover Event with Final Fantasy 16 and New Gameplay Features
New crossover event releases ahead of 'Dawntrail' expansion, allowing PC players to experience aspects of Final Fantasy 16 through quests such as 'The Path Infernal' and unique loot offers, including a mount of Clive’s loyal wolfdog Torgal.
- Final Fantasy 14, directed by Naoki Yoshida, will feature a crossover event with Final Fantasy 16, incorporating elements from the yet-to-be-released game through a new quest series called 'The Path Infernal'.
- The crossover event will enable PC players to experience some aspects and exclusive loot from Final Fantasy 16, including a unique mount modelled after Clive’s loyal wolfdog, Torgal.
- In the crossover event, players will witness the Warrior of Light from Final Fantasy 14 engaging in combat with eikon Ifrit using special dodges and moves from Final Fantasy 16. There will also be a glimpse of Clive Rosfield, the protagonist of Final Fantasy 16, fighting alongside the Warrior of Light.
- The crossover content with Final Fantasy 16 will release prior to Final Fantasy 14's newest expansion, 'Dawntrail', which is set to launch in the summer of 2024.
- The crossover content will not reveal much of Final Fantasy 16's story, aiming to maintain the suspense for players awaiting the PC release of the game.
