- Co-created by George R. R. Martin and showrunner Ira Parker, the series adapts The Hedge Knight with shorter, half-hour episodes and a more modest, character-driven tone from Dunk’s perspective.
- Set roughly a century before Game of Thrones (about 72 years after House of the Dragon), it follows hedge knight Ser Duncan “Dunk” the Tall and his squire Egg, played by Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell.
- HBO has already renewed the show, and Variety reports Season 2 is due to begin production in Belfast this month with plans for a 2027 release.
