Fils and Medjedovic to Clash in Next Gen Finals Championship

Top-seeded Arthur Fils will face Hamad Medjedovic in the Next Gen Finals championship match, a tournament for the top eight players aged 21 or under.
Fils, 19, is being relied on to revive French tennis, while Medjedovic, 20, is seen as Serbia's hope to keep its flag at the top of the sport after Novak Djokovic.
Both Fils and Medjedovic went a perfect 3-0 in group play, with Fils currently ranked No. 36 and Medjedovic No. 110.
Fils became the youngest Frenchman in nearly two decades to win an ATP title when he triumphed at Lyon earlier this year.
Medjedovic, coached by Serbia’s Davis Cup captain Viktor Troicki, reached tour-level semifinals in Gstaad and Astana and won three lower-level Challenger events this year.
