Overview

• The incident occurred on June 5 at around 8:30 p.m. in Gupta’s Versova office when driver Mohammad Lashkar pressed for his May salary arrears.
• Lashkar, who had earned ₹23,000 monthly over three years, was dismissed May 30 and returned to work June 4 after Gupta agreed to settle pending dues.
• After sustaining a stab wound to his right torso, Lashkar sought treatment at Cooper Hospital in Vile Parle West and then filed a police complaint.
