Film Producer KP Chowdary Found Dead in Goa in Suspected Suicide

The Telugu and Tamil film producer, previously arrested in a 2023 drug case, was discovered in his apartment after concerns from friends.

KP Chowdary, a prominent producer in the South Indian film industry, was found dead in his Goa apartment at the age of 44, with police suspecting suicide.
Chowdary had been living alone in Siolim, Goa, for the past six to seven months and was reportedly dealing with personal and financial difficulties.
Friends raised concerns after failing to reach him, leading the flat owner to discover him hanging and notify the police.
In 2023, Chowdary was arrested by Cyberabad Police for possession of cocaine and alleged involvement in drug distribution, including links to prominent film personalities.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into his death, and his family has been informed.
