- INAH director Joel Omar Vázquez Herrera inaugurated the fair on September 18 at the Museo Nacional de Antropología in Mexico City.
- Organizers scheduled more than 400 activities across September 18–28, including 191 editorial presentations, 78 workshops, 50 art showcases, 11 forums, four tributes, six recognitions and seven exhibitions.

- Côte d’Ivoire, the fair’s first African Guest of Honor, announced about 35 activities with a strong musical presence, while Tabasco programmed 31 events, and INAH confirmed Spain and Veracruz as the 2026 Guests of Honor.
