- The gala begins at 8:00 p.m. local time in Doha (12:00 p.m. ET, 11:00 a.m. Mexico City, 12:00 p.m. Lima/Bogotá, 6:00 p.m. Madrid) with free worldwide coverage on FIFA.com and FIFA+.
- Katara Hall in the Fairmont complex hosts the event in Qatar, where roughly 800 attendees are expected including FIFA president Gianni Infantino and federation representatives.
- FIFA will unveil the four principal honors during the ceremony—best male and female players and coaches—while awards for fans, goalkeepers, goals and Fair Play may be released on social media beforehand.
- Shortlists are confirmed without Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, with leading men’s candidates including Ousmane Dembélé, Lamine Yamal and Kylian Mbappé and Aitana Bonmatí among the prominent women’s nominees.
- Results are determined by four voting groups—national-team coaches, captains, journalists and fans—each weighted at 25%, with public voting held November 6–28 and surpassing 16 million ballots.
