Overview

  • FIFA reported more than 1.5 million applications from fans in 210 countries within a day of opening the Visa presale registration.
  • Initial demand is led by the host nations — United States, Mexico and Canada — with Argentina the top non-host market, followed by Colombia, Brazil, England, Spain, Portugal and Germany.
  • The presale is lottery-based, the time of registration does not affect odds, and selected applicants will receive assigned purchase windows beginning October 1.
  • Group-stage tickets start at $60, with options for individual matches, venue-specific and team-specific packages; official hospitality is already on sale and FIFA warns to buy only via fifa.com/tickets and fifa.com/hospitality.
  • The 2026 tournament expands to 48 teams and 104 matches from June 11 to July 19, opening at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City and concluding at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
