FIFA Opens 2026 World Cup Ticketing With Visa Presale and Official Resale Platform

A regulated resale marketplace aims to curb scalping by ensuring only valid tickets change hands.

Overview

  • Visa cardholders with a FIFA ID can register for the presale draw from Sept. 10–19, with notifications starting Sept. 29 and purchase time slots running Oct. 1–21.
  • FIFA says roughly one million tickets are in the initial draw, with purchases limited to four per match and a maximum of 10 matches per buyer for a total of 40 tickets.
  • Initial single-match prices start at $60 for group games and reach about $6,730 for the final, with dynamic pricing allowing changes based on demand during sales phases.
  • FIFA will operate an official resale platform with uncapped prices outside Mexico, where local regulations require resales at face value through a separate exchange.
  • Further phases include an Early Ticket Draw registration expected Oct. 27–31 with purchasing mid-November to early December, followed by post–Dec. 5 draw sales and later first-come, first-served windows, with single-match, venue and team-package options available.
