FIFA Opens 2026 World Cup Ticket Registration With Visa-Only Window, Dynamic Pricing

A lottery will assign purchase slots after notifications from 29 September, with prices able to move in real time from a $60 baseline.

Overview

  • The first registration window runs 10–19 September on FIFA’s site and is limited to Visa cardholders under the sponsor’s exclusive rights.
  • Tickets are allocated by random draw, with successful applicants emailed from 29 September and purchase windows beginning 1 October, and availability is not guaranteed.
  • Baseline prices start at $60 for group games and reach up to $6,730 for top-category final seats, and FIFA will adjust prices to demand under a dynamic model cited by official Heimo Schirgi.
  • Two further lottery phases are planned, including registration from 27–31 October with sales from mid-November to early December, and another phase after the 5 December group draw for specific match selections.
  • Sales are online-only with an official resale platform to follow; resale price caps will differ by country (no cap in the U.S. and Canada, face-value limit in Mexico), and roughly half of about 5.5 million tickets are allocated to the public.
