- Twelve four-team groups will be staged across 11 host associations, with Rwanda hosting two groups.
- All fixtures are scheduled for the March–April 2026 international match window.
- Five men’s participants are already qualified for the 2026 World Cup: Australia, Cabo Verde, Curaçao, New Zealand and Uzbekistan.
- A three-group women’s edition will be hosted in Brazil, Côte d’Ivoire and Thailand.
- FIFA will subsidize travel, accommodation and logistics for participating teams and will make every match available to a global audience.
