Fies Opens 50,000 Remnant Slots for Second Semester 2026

Overview

• Applications opened Monday and run through November 3, 2026, and must be submitted free via the Portal Único using a Gov.br account.
• The offer totals 50,000 remnant vacancies that fund tuition only for the second semester of 2026 and cannot be extended beyond this term.
• Academic eligibility requires an Enem taken since 2010 with an average of at least 450 across the five tests and a nonzero essay score, and treineiros are excluded.
• Household-income limits cap general eligibility at up to three minimum wages per person while half the places are reserved for families earning up to half a minimum wage per person with CadÚnico records updated by October 8, 2026.
• Pre-selected candidates will face checks on attendance and academic capacity, results of the single call are set for November 16, and approved contracts can finance up to 100% of educational charges.
