Overview

  • Australia approved an A$1.12 billion buy of dozens of Anduril-built Ghost Shark extra-large undersea vehicles for long-endurance intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and strike, with procurement, sustainment and deliveries set for at least five years.
  • The U.S. Navy released a Request for Proposals for Next Generation Logistics Ship concept designs, planning up to three awards for a smaller light replenishment oiler able to refuel, rearm and resupply forces in more contested areas.
  • The U.S. Air Force is testing Leidos’ AlphaMosaic AI battle-management software, with the company aiming for full operational use in roughly two to three years around 2027.
  • HII said it has doubled outsource hours in 2025 to accelerate destroyer production and is coordinating with Thales and Babcock on systems being integrated into its Remus unmanned underwater vehicles.
  • Machinists at Boeing’s St. Louis-area defense sites rejected the latest contract offer, keeping the strike in place as the company reports no talks are scheduled and says it will continue hiring permanent replacements.
