Fhenix Launches CoFHE Coprocessor on Ethereum and Arbitrum

Approved EVM contracts compute on encrypted balances off-chain with results returned to host chains.

Overview

  • Fhenix launched the CoFHE coprocessor into production on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, opening mainnet use to five allowlisted retail dApps while keeping public testnets available to all developers.
  • The system runs heavy fully homomorphic encryption work off-chain and posts encrypted outputs back to Ethereum and Arbitrum so contracts can use private data without moving to a separate chain.
  • Developers can integrate CoFHE with a single-line Solidity import to call the coprocessor from existing EVM contracts and keep interoperability with current tooling and infrastructure.
  • Fhenix also introduced a Dual-Mode Token Standard that lets users switch a token balance between public and private modes in one transaction without bridges or wrapping.
  • The project cites ACM CCS 2025 research for a threshold decryption method claiming large throughput and latency gains, and it strengthened FHE expertise with the July 2026 Sunscreen team acquisition after raising $22 million in 2023.
