Overview

  • A search warrant authorized by a federal judge led FGR agents to seize 1,802,650 liters of huachicol from a compound in La Escondida, Reynosa.
  • Officials also confiscated nine tractor-trailers, 12 motobombas, 39 frac tanks, three vehicles, two power generators and an industrial sweeper.
  • The operation mobilized Policía Federal Ministerial, Agencia de Investigación Criminal, Sedena, Guardia Nacional, SSPC, Protección Civil, firefighters, Pemex personnel and federal forensic experts.
  • No arrests were made and all seized assets were turned over to the Federal Public Ministry for ongoing hydrocarbon crime investigations.
  • The raid follows earlier multi-million-liter take-downs and is part of the government’s ramped-up enforcement under recent legal reforms targeting cartel networks.
