Fewer Traffic Offenders Registered Across Germany in 2025

Nationwide data shows a 1.2% decline in traffic violations, with men significantly overrepresented in the Flensburg registry.

The Flensburg traffic offender registry recorded 10.12 million entries at the start of 2025, a 1.2% decrease compared to the previous year.
Saxony saw a 1.5% drop in registered traffic offenders, while Saxony-Anhalt experienced a more modest decline of 0.7%.
In Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the number of offenders fell by 1.9%, with a sharper decline among men (2.0%) than women (1.0%).
The largest reductions were observed in Hamburg (3.1%) and Berlin (2.8%), highlighting regional variations in traffic compliance trends.
Men continue to dominate the registry, comprising the majority of offenders across all regions, with smaller proportions of women and individuals with diverse or unspecified genders.
