Ferrari Unveils Lauda-Inspired Monza Livery for SF-25 50 Years After 1975 Title

Ferrari is using a 312T-themed tribute to energize its home weekend as Hamilton faces a five-place grid penalty.

Overview

  • The SF-25 will run a retro scheme modeled on the 1975 312T with a darker red, white engine cover featuring the Italian tricolore, a metallic-silver rear wing, and period-style numbers and wheels.
  • Ferrari says the livery uses a new PVC film developed with sponsor HP that is lighter and more temperature-resistant than prior materials.
  • Drivers and staff will wear 1975-inspired gear, including rectangular-logo team shirts on Sunday and period-style race suits and helmets for Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton.
  • Heritage activations include Jean Alesi driving a 1995 Ferrari 412T2 before the race and an original 1975 312T displayed at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello.
  • The tribute follows double retirements at Zandvoort; Hamilton makes his Monza debut for Ferrari with a five-place grid drop, and the Italian Grand Prix is scheduled for September 7.
