Overview

  • The 100-foot flying monohull prototype will draw power exclusively from solar, wind and kinetic sources, with no onboard combustion engine.
  • A three-point flight-stabilization system designed by Guillaume Verdier includes a canting keel supporting one of the foils.
  • About 20 full-time staff and 80–90 additional specialists in Maranello are collaborating on the Hypersail project under team principal Giovanni Soldini.
  • Ferrari plans a post-launch debugging phase in 2026 without firm race commitments and has ruled out an America’s Cup challenge.
  • The company has filed patents for the Hypersail design and says the initiative leverages automotive technology with minimal impact on its capital expenditure.
