Overview

  • Ferrari’s new rear suspension for the SF-25, validated by positive bench tests and CFD simulations, is being tested on track to reduce ride-height sensitivity and maintain stable downforce.
  • Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton will each complete up to 200 km of runs during the Mugello filming day to assess how the suspension works with the underbody package proven at Spielberg and Silverstone.
  • Pending driver approval of handling and balance, Ferrari plans to install the rear suspension upgrade at the Belgian Grand Prix from July 25 to 27 at Spa-Francorchamps.
  • Engineering data suggest the combined underbody and suspension package could deliver up to a tenth of a second per lap, a gain Ferrari needs to narrow its gap to McLaren and chase its first win of the season.
  • This marks the SF-25’s final major update before Ferrari shifts development toward its 2025 ‘Project 678’ model built to 2026 regulations.
