Overview
- Scuderia Ferrari conducted a regulated promotional Filmtag on the 5.416 km Madring, becoming the first current Formula 1 team to run a modern F1 car on the circuit.
- The session used Pirelli demo tyres and was limited to a maximum distance of 200 kilometres under FIA rules for promotional events rather than banned TPC tests.
- Ferrari collected telemetry and measured asphalt roughness and grip that teams can use to update simulators and refine car setup and energy management.
- Organisers said the day let them test pit operations, safety procedures and team logistics but noted grandstands, toilets and spectator access remain under construction.
- Ferrari denied reports it paid for the session and the Filmtag has prompted questions about competitive fairness because only Ferrari has driven the new layout so far.
