Overview

  • Giovanni Soldini leads the Hypersail project, drawing on his 30-plus years of solo and crewed ocean racing experience.
  • Designed by naval architect Guillaume Verdier, the 100-foot flying monohull will stabilize on three foiling contact points for high-speed endurance.
  • Entirely energy self-sufficient, the yacht relies solely on renewable sources—solar, wind and kinetic—to power its foils, navigation and onboard systems.
  • Ferrari has filed nine patents, with six more in draft, covering innovations in renewable propulsion, foiling mechanisms and flight control technology.
  • Slated for launch in 2026, the vessel will undergo sea trials while Ferrari pursues unrestricted offshore sailing research beyond America’s Cup regulations.
