Ferrara Candy Company Discontinues Fruit Stripe Gum After Over 50 Years

The decision to discontinue the product was made after considering factors such as consumer preferences, purchasing patterns, and overall brand trends.
Fruit Stripe gum, known for its brightly colored stripes and zebra mascot, Yipes, was a staple in grocery store checkout aisles and a nostalgic favorite for many.
The gum was first launched in the 1960s and came in five flavors: Wet n’ Wild Melon, Cherry, Lemon, Orange, and Peach Smash.
Despite the discontinuation, Ferrara stated that consumers may still be able to find the product at select retailers nationwide until stocks run out.
