  • The day before, she had taken the overall lead by dropping rivals seven kilometres from the Col de la Madeleine summit to win stage eight.

  • At 33, Ferrand-Prevot becomes the first Frenchwoman to win the modern women’s Tour de France Femmes, adding to her Olympic cross-country mountain bike gold and 15 world titles.
