Fernandez Tops Weather-Hit Valencia Test as Razgatlioglu Makes MotoGP Debut

Cold, damp conditions curtailed running to yield only provisional readouts on 2026 machinery.

Overview

  • Trackhouse Aprilia’s Raul Fernandez set the day’s benchmark with a 1:29.373, with Marco Bezzecchi 0.027s behind and Alex Marquez third at 0.084s.
  • Toprak Razgatlioglu completed 53 laps on Pramac Yamaha’s V4 in his public debut, finishing 18th on 1:30.667, roughly 1.3s off the top and about six tenths from the leading Yamaha.
  • Fabio Quartararo led mid-session on the inline-four M1 before sampling Yamaha’s new V4, as each Yamaha rider ran one of each specification.
  • Overnight rain and low temperatures delayed running until after 1pm, prompted red flags for drying work, and led organizers to extend the session to 5:30pm.
  • Moto2 champion Diogo Moreira debuted for LCR Honda and placed 21st after 57 laps, Celestino Vietti filled in for injured Franco Morbidelli, and Marc Marquez remained sidelined until the Sepang test in February.
