Felon Arrested After Petaluma Pursuit as Police Seize Loaded Ghost Gun With 30-Round Magazine

  • Officers initiated a traffic stop around 11:50 p.m. Thursday on southbound Highway 101 near Kastania Road in Petaluma.
  • The driver sped away, crashed at the Petaluma Boulevard South–Crystal Lane roundabout, and fled on foot before being found hiding in nearby grass.
  • Police identified the suspect as Kenneth Douglas, 41, of Willits, who had several outstanding felony warrants.
  • A loaded, unserialized ghost gun with a 30-round high-capacity magazine and 30 rounds was recovered within about 10 feet of Douglas.
  • Officers also seized methamphetamine, a pipe, and fake IDs, and Douglas was booked on charges including felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a large-capacity magazine, and hit-and-run property damage.
