• In an end-of-cycle address on July 31, Feijóo denounced Sánchez’s two-year term as a “bienio negro y amargo” and blamed his government for an institutional crisis.
• He accused the prime minister of moral bankruptcy, alleging lies, alliances with alleged criminals and a refusal to call elections or approve budgets.
• Feijóo positioned himself as the “alternative” poised to rebuild Spain and pledged to “reconstruct everything destroyed” during the so-called dark era.
