FedEx Plane Skids Off Runway After Landing Gear Failure At Tennessee Airport

A FedEx Boeing 757 experienced a landing gear malfunction and crash landed at the Chattanooga, Tennessee airport on October 5, 2023.
The plane circled before making an emergency landing, skidding off the runway, but coming to rest in a safety area.
The three crew members on board were not injured and able to safely exit the aircraft.
There was no fire, just smoke coming from the engines.
The FAA and NTSB are investigating the incident, which has indefinitely closed the airport's main runway.
