FedEx Driver Dies in Fiery Interstate Crash

A FedEx driver was killed early Tuesday after being ejected from his semi-truck during a crash on Interstate 294 in Illinois.

The accident occurred around 2:23 a.m. near mile marker 52.5 on northbound I-294.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle and later pronounced dead at Glenbrook Hospital.
The semi-truck crashed into a guardrail and erupted into flames, destroying the vehicle and one of its trailers.
Road closures on I-294 lasted about seven hours before the scene was cleared.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police.
