Overview

• Operation Sem Desconto carried out search-and-seizure warrants across São Paulo, Sergipe, Amazonas, Rio Grande do Norte, Santa Catarina, Pernambuco, Bahia and the Federal District.
• The warrants, authorized by Justice André Mendonça, included searches at the Sindnapi headquarters and at the residence of its president, Milton Baptista de Souza Filho.
• Milton appeared before the CPMI and largely declined to answer questions, after which the committee approved breaking his bank and tax secrecy and that of his wife and requested Coaf and Dataprev reports.
• By 17 votes to 13, the CPMI blocked attempts to break the secrecy of Paulo Boudens, a former chief of staff to Senate President Davi Alcolumbre.
• Dataprev records sent to the commission indicate Sindnapi received about R$507.5 million in associative discounts from 2020 to 2025, while investigators estimate total losses above R$6 billion and note Frei Chico is not a target in this phase.
