Federal Officials Say Driver in Deadly Tennessee Bus Crash Entered U.S. Illegally and Later Obtained New York CDL

New York officials say his commercial license was issued lawfully after he presented federal work documents.

  • Homeland Security officials say Huang crossed the border unlawfully in 2023, was released with work authorization and a Social Security card, and used those documents to secure a New York commercial license in April 2025.
