- After a two-day trial, jurors on Sept. 24 found Shade guilty of attempted possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
- Investigators said three packages sent from San Diego to fictitious recipients in Winona concealed six pounds of meth inside stuffed animals.
- Agents secured warrants, removed most of the drugs, inserted sensors and tracking devices, and carried out a controlled delivery that Shade retrieved and opened.
