The allegations reportedly originated from GSK, citing statements allegedly made by former Pfizer employee Phil Dormitzer, who has denied making such claims.
Dormitzer stated that he and his Pfizer colleagues worked to secure FDA Emergency Use Authorization as quickly as possible, disputing interpretations of his comments.
Prosecutors have interviewed two individuals, including a GSK executive who documented a conversation with Dormitzer, and plan to interview a third person soon.
Pfizer has not been contacted by investigators, and both Pfizer and GSK have declined to comment on the ongoing probe.
