Overview
- Federal security forces located and dismantled three clandestine methamphetamine laboratories in Guerrero, officials announced Monday, with sites in Coahuayutla de José María Izaziga and two in Zirándaro de los Chávez.
- Authorities seized more than 7.8 tonnes of chemicals and about 25,800 liters of precursors and solvents, then rendered the materials unusable under established inactivation protocols.
- Investigators removed heavy industrial gear including nine reactors, condensers and distillation units, more than 260 200-liter drums, 11 500-liter containers and dozens of gas tanks from the sites.
- The operation was carried out by the SSPC, the military and the Guardia Nacional with reported intelligence sharing from U.S. agencies, and the cases were turned over to the Ministerio Público for forensic work and prosecution.
