- Vehicles with yellow stickers or plate endings 5–6 have until February 28 to verify in both CDMX and Edomex, while pink 7–8 begin their February–March window.
- CDMX’s program is mandatory for internal-combustion vehicles registered in the capital and offers online booking through Llave CDMX at citasverificentros.cdmx.gob.mx.
- INEGI set the 2026 UMA at 117.31 pesos daily, making Edomex fines for lacking a valid verification hologram range from 16 to 20 UMAs ($1,876.96 to $2,346.20).
- Edomex’s sanction level is designed to reflect driver history, but until the new infractions database is operational authorities will apply the minimum 16 UMA penalty.
- Edomex allows vehicle retention for violations, and CDMX exempts electric and hybrid I–II vehicles, motorcycles up to 400 kg, certain machinery, and classic/demo/transfer plates.
