Dotchev, in his third tenure with Aue since December 2022, helped stabilize the team and secure its position in the upper tier of the 3. Liga.
The decision was made independently of the team's current performance; Aue is sixth in the table, two points behind the promotion playoff spot.
Tensions between Dotchev and sporting director Matthias Heidrich, as well as disagreements over public comments about promotion ambitions, contributed to the decision.
