FBI Releases Photos, Offers $10,000 Reward in Chicago Armored Truck Shooting

No arrests have been announced in the Brighton Park case.

  • A 49-year-old Brink's guard was shot once in each thigh and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition.
  • Authorities say the suspect demanded money at gunpoint and is described as a Black man with a slim or athletic build wearing a dark puffer jacket, balaclava-style face covering, dark sunglasses, dark pants and dark athletic shoes.
  • Investigators report the suspect fled in a bronze Hyundai Elantra with tinted windows, and witnesses said he loaded bags into the car before leaving as it remains unclear whether any cash was taken.
  • The FBI is offering up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction, with tips accepted at 312-421-6700 or tips.fbi.gov, and Cook County Crime Stoppers is offering an additional $1,000.
