FBI Continues Search for Bodies at Gambino-Linked Farms in New York
The investigations follow an indictment alleging the crime family's violent domination of the city's garbage hauling and demolition industries.
- The FBI, in collaboration with the NYPD, is conducting a multi-day search for bodies at two horse farms in southern New York, specifically in Campbell Hall and Goshen in Orange County. The farms are linked to the Gambino crime family.
- The investigations are believed to be connected to an indictment unsealed last week, which alleges that 10 members and associates of the Gambino crime family used violent tactics and intimidation to dominate the garbage hauling and demolition industries in New York City.
- The 16 counts in the indictment include racketeering, conspiracy, extortion, and witness retaliation. If convicted, each suspect could face between 20 and 180 years in prison.
- The farms were formerly owned by Giovanni DiLorenzo, who shares the same surname as one of the indicted members of the Gambino crime family, Salvatore DiLorenzo.
- No remains have been found as of Thursday, but the search is expected to continue.
