  • Harpreet Singh, alias Happy Passia, was arrested by the FBI and ICE in Sacramento, California, on April 18, 2025, for his role in orchestrating terror attacks in Punjab, India.
  • Passia is linked to 14 grenade attacks and other terror incidents in Punjab, carried out under the direction of Pakistan-based BKI leader Harwinder Singh Sandhu, alias Rinda.
  • He entered the US illegally in 2021 via a human trafficking network and evaded capture using burner phones and encrypted communication tools.
  • The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed chargesheets against Passia and announced a ₹5 lakh reward for his capture earlier this year.
