Overview
- Fathom Entertainment will present the feature nationwide for two days, Dec. 13–14, to coincide with Dick Van Dyke’s 100th birthday.
- The film blends classic clips from his movies and TV work with new interviews and a filmed return to his hometown of Danville, Illinois.
- Emmy-winning filmmakers Steve Boettcher and Michael Trinklein developed the project over more than 30 years.
- Interviews include Van Dyke and many late collaborators such as Mary Tyler Moore, Carl Reiner, Rose Marie, Morey Amsterdam, Betty White, and Tim Conway, with reflections from later-generation artists.
- Van Dyke called the tribute a “wonderful” surprise in an email to the Associated Press, and the film will premiere earlier in December at Danville’s Fischer Theatre with tickets available at FathomEntertainment.com.
