Father Killed and Son Wounded in Brooklyn Laundromat Stabbing

A new description of the fleeing suspect has been issued to help residents submit tips to Crime Stoppers.

Overview

  • The stabbings occurred at about 10:40 p.m. on June 22 inside a laundromat at 39 Neptune Ave. in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn.
  • During an argument inside the business, a 54-year-old father was stabbed in the torso and died at NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn.
  • His 19-year-old son sustained a slash wound to the forehead and remains in stable condition at the same hospital.
  • Witnesses say the suspect fled on foot wearing a dark T-shirt and shorts and police have made no arrests.
  • The NYPD’s 61st Precinct and Crime Stoppers are urging anyone with information to come forward confidentially.
