Overview
- At about 7:20 p.m. on June 15, 33-year-old Antwon Wilson entered the ocean off the B Ocean Resort to rescue his two young daughters in distress
- Lifeguards had gone off duty at 7 p.m. and rushed back upon hearing the distress call, rescuing both children
- Good Samaritan Eslam Saad also entered the water to help but became overwhelmed and self-rescued before paramedics arrived
- Paramedics located Wilson underwater minutes later and he was pronounced dead at Broward Health Medical Center
- Both of Wilson’s daughters and the bystander are awake and responsive at the hospital and are expected to recover
