Father Arrested After Allegedly Trying to Drown His Two Children at Connecticut Beach

Swift police action saved the lives of two young children, who are now in intensive care.

Romney Desronvil, 41, was apprehended by police while allegedly attempting to drown his children at a West Haven beach.
The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. when a patrolling officer heard screams from the water.
Responding officers and firefighters rescued the children, who were nearly 100 yards from shore.
The children, both under the age of three, were taken to a local hospital and remain in critical condition.
Desronvil faces charges including attempted murder and risk of injury.
