• Essex Police launched an investigation after an assault at the Dog and Partridge in North Stifford at about 11pm on Friday, August 22.
• Victim Kaisen Kinsella was dining with his partner and their two young children when he was allegedly punched to the floor and then kicked by others.
• He remains in hospital with serious head and facial injuries, including a fractured eye socket and a brain bleed, and is expected to need reconstructive surgery.
