Fatal Shooting in Auburn Gresham Amid Overnight Violence in Chicago

A man was killed and two others critically injured in separate incidents on Chicago's South and Southwest Sides early Tuesday.

  • A man was fatally shot around 3:30 a.m. on South Ashland Avenue in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood.
  • The victim, an unidentified male, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
  • Two separate shootings left victims in critical condition on the Southwest and Far South Sides.
  • A 24-year-old man was shot multiple times in Gage Park and another man was found with a gunshot wound to the chest in the East Side neighborhood.
  • No suspects are in custody for any of the incidents, and police are actively investigating.
