Fatal Police Shooting in Kamp-Lintfort Investigated

A 34-year-old man died after being shot by police during a response to a disturbance in a multi-family residence in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The 34-year-old man allegedly attacked officers in the stairwell with an unspecified object, prompting one officer to fire his weapon.
The man was critically injured by the gunshot and later died in the hospital early Sunday morning.
Three officers were injured during the incident, with one requiring hospital treatment and two sustaining minor injuries.
An investigation into the shooting is being conducted by the Duisburg Criminal Police on the orders of the Kleve State Prosecutor's Office.
