Fatal Interstate Accident: Tire Detaches from SUV, Kills Michigan Driver

A tragic incident on I-94 in Ann Arbor Township resulted in the death of a 49-year-old man after a tire detached from an SUV and struck his vehicle.

A 49-year-old Dearborn Heights man was pronounced dead at the scene after a tire detached from a Dodge Journey and hit his Chevrolet Malibu.
The accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 94 in Washtenaw County, Michigan.
The tire crossed the median after detaching and struck the victim's vehicle on the windshield and roof, causing fatal injuries.
No other injuries were reported in the incident.
Michigan State Police are conducting an ongoing investigation into the cause of the tire detachment.
