Overview
- Around 4:53 a.m., a crew rammed a pickup into the Louis Vuitton at 919 N. Michigan Avenue, grabbed merchandise, and fled in multiple vehicles, according to police.
- A fleeing Kia Stinger ran a red light at Michigan and Ohio and struck a Honda CR‑V, killing the uninvolved driver; five suspects from the Kia were hospitalized, placed in custody, and stolen goods were recovered.
- Officers also recovered merchandise after an Infiniti Q50 fleeing south on DuSable Lake Shore Drive crashed near Roosevelt Road; two of four occupants who fled on foot were captured.
