Fatal Crash at I-90 Barrington Road Toll Plaza Claims One Life

A motorist died early Thursday morning when their vehicle struck a toll booth and burst into flames in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

The accident occurred around 4:25 a.m. on westbound Interstate 90 near the Barrington Road exit.
The vehicle became fully engulfed in flames immediately after colliding with the toll plaza.
Firefighters extinguished most of the flames by approximately 5:00 a.m.
Debris from the crash was scattered around the toll booth area, complicating cleanup efforts.
The victim was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
